Gaytree Bhurut has acquired over 22 years working experience in food safety and quality management systems, in the hospitality and in the manufacturing sectors.
Over the years, Gaytree has been actively involved in designing and delivering generic as well as customised training courses.
She has performed more than 600 audits in 200 companies and more than 150 training sessions in more than 100 companies while working for a global certification body, SGS. She has trained employees in organizations from shop floor staff to top management staff.

She is an IRCA registered lead auditor and lead tutor in QMS.

She has gained an international exposure through her work assignments in Reunion Island, Seychelles, Mayotte, Madagascar, South Africa, Germany, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Djibouti. In her previous job, she was appointed sub-contractor for multinationals such as Mc Donalds, The Coca Cola Company and Nestlé.

Area of expertise
Gaytree has acquired training experience in several manufacturing and industry sector over the years, namely: hospitality, health care, food and beverage manufacturing, telecommunications, engineering, aviation, primary production (farming and agriculture), financial services, information technology, warehousing and distribution, business process outsourcing, education, textile, pharmaceutics, to name a few.

Gaytree has joined several train the trainer courses and learned accelerated training techniques to improve the course delivery and make the courses more effective.

The training areas covered quality management systems, food safety systems and customer service.

Engaging and Developing People
Gaytree has been involved in management systems and improvement projects whereby on the job coaching was provided to the project team to develop their time management skills, conducting meeting skills, team work and leadership skills.
Through conducting risk-based auditing, 2nd and 3rd party assessment services, certification programs and training services, Gaytree has covered a wide range of management disciplines including:

• Food Safety – GMP, BMP B+, HACCP, SQF, BRC Global Food, BRC-IOP, IFS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000,

Training services – Public and in-house courses on understanding, implementing and auditing standards in food safety and quality and business improvement with Lean Six Sigma.

Learning techniques & qualifications

• Master in Business Administration with merits, with the University of Surrey
• Bachelor of Science (Hons) Food and Agricultural Biotechnology, with the UOM
• Diploma in Agricultural Science and Technology with the UOM

She holds the following registrations: MQA Approved Trainer, IRCA Registered Lead Auditor Quality Management Systems and IRCA Registered Lead Tutor Quality Management Systems.

Professional experience
During her 13 years of working experience, Gaytree was employed as a trainer and has kept herself updated professionally by attending several workshops.
She started off as Manager at Mc Donald’s Mauritius in charge of Training. In the same field, she has had the opportunity to train the crew in Australia and Reunion Island as well.
She was a trainer at SGS Mauritius and has had a multinational cross exposure with training experience in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Currently employed at Change ACT Ltd, she provides training at various levels within different organisations.

All projects that required coaching and training were completed successfully.

Gaytree has auditing and consulting experience in the following standards: ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 22 000, FSSC 22000, BRC Global Standard for Food, BRC Global Standard for Packaging, Global GAP, Fairtrade and ECOCERT
